I just thought that I'd let people know that I have just re-insured the Project/ Bazinga So I'll have to get its' bottom wet now.

I found the old paperwork and went back to RACV. They were happy to re-insure it for the same value of $4,200 for an increase of about $45 more than last time in 2015/16.
I asked about an increase in valuation and was able to get that done as well to $6,000 based on the boats that are for sale on the web page and that put the premium up to $275.
No inspection, no photos just pay it in the next 21 days and off we go.

More than happy with the service and the price.
Couldn't get any cover anywhere else.
Boat was too old, or we don't insure wooden boats etc etc.

Yes be careful here. Insurance companies are happy to take the money. When it comes to claim another matter. All the larger companies with wooden boats generally will require a survey to guarantee claim status. Fergusons make an agreement to value with owner prior to taking money. They generally collect magazine articles as well and other evidence to support agreed value
