As far as water time is concerned it's probably going to be Goolwa although i would kill to be able to do something before then. We are in full on building mode now so spare time is non exsistant. Paynesville this weekend (booked BEFORE the build started)

I spoke with Ronda's previous owner at Paynesville and he showed me some photo's of the first Ronda he purchased from Erwin Grieb, he was adamant that this boat was also a Lewis but i didn't think they built ply boats. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Did he buy two boats from Erwin ? and you now have the second one which is the Lewis "walkabout" ??

Don't think that was a Lewis Ray, Seacraft all the way for me. It seems to be light enough as it is

While Builders took "builds to order" , I have only ever seen the Lewis Badge on clinker hulls. Bruce Walker for example built everything from an 8 foot sailing boat to 30 foot Cruisers to pay the Bills.

Sad ending for the first Ronda, whoever built it.

Probably the the most similar bondwood hull to my boat I have seen, even looks to have same ski pole and screen.

Hey Wildwoody, thats correct Kevin Robertson (Rond's previous owner) bought two Rond's from Erwin and yes mine is the second one. Thats why there was a bit of confusion around whether my boat may have been Ronda 2. All cleared up now as Ronda Too was an Everingham skiff
