Postby jenko » 25 Apr 2016, 04:41

I have been lurking on the site for a while and have almost finished my Glen L Riviera but have launched anyway. Gets upholstery this week.

Jenko

It looks like it goes as good as it sounds. Certainly quick!

Really nice. Congrats.

Thanks Greg & Ray. Pretty happy with performance, but might need to change prop for one with forward rake as it starts to porpoise a bit above 80kph

Hi Jenko. That's some lovely workmanship gone into that engine and indeed the boat as well.

Mate I'm interested in knowing what your exhaust arrangement is with the oxygen sensors. Are they jacketed manifolds? What are the valves at the end of each manifold?

Cheers. Craig.

Craig the oxy sensors go into the exhaust and I just squashed the jacket at that point.
The valves are modified Rolco raw water thermostats with bypass valve.Needed 2 as unlike a v8 the two banks aren't connected by the valley cover with a common water outlet.
water flows through the exhaust logs all the time , when engine is cold it goes to the exhaust and as the thermostat opens it runs the water through the engine then to the exhaust keeps engine at 75deg consistently.
found some diagrams of the thermostats, they are rex marine ones, but function is the same
