For some time now I've been thinking that I've seen that boat in the logo before. Then it dawned on me, it looks like the boat in the pic below.
That's Laurie Weate's skiff at Silverwater somewhere around the mid 50's. If the logo was taken from a Deepwater MBC or APBA document from years ago, then this could make sense. Laurie was the Commodore at Deepwater for a while and was also high up in the APBA. So, he could have used his own boat pic in documentation. Maybe Dave to Greg could set me straight on this.
