There is no rev limiter on my merlin. Its running up to about two grand but it wont rev smooth. it gets progressively worse as the plugs get fouled.
I have a good relationship with point cook and a guy who helps out at temora is currently helping me.
Im giving him the carb this week to rebuild it. I would like to do it with him.
Flowing has to be done elsewhere on a machine.
Ive got a full carb kit for it.

Seems like you have just about covered all the bases.

Maybe just put a big holley on it!

These are on display at the Clipsal 500, and they fired a couple up including the Merlin. I spoke to Peter who started the Merlin and he gave me a name of a guy at Point Cook, I'll pm it to you, might be the same guy.

Picked up these Griffith Cup programs yesterday. Some results had been written in, including Aggressor's win.

Good pickup ! I have a bumper bar sticker from the same year 1972 Eppalock "Griffiths Cup" Red back ground.

Front page of the 1972 is Stampede as it had won the 1971, and 1970 Griffith Cups.
Quite a few members current or past boats are in these programs.
