New Member intro and first Q!

[Murray Long Boat]

Hi, I'm a new member, thanks for having me.
Have recently purchased a '60s/'70s Marine Ply 21.5ft "Murray River Long Boat". I say that loosely because although the seller told me that's what it is...I have been able to find zero references to such a beast anywhere.

It's a sleek speed boat, allegedly historically raced on the Murray. Has an inboard worked Holden motor although its state of repair is yet unknown.
The boat is in need of a cosmetic resto and refit of running gear which will be this years project.
When I have pics I'll post some to seek further advice as to whether anyone knows the style of boat.

Until then I look forward to reading up and getting some tips and hope someone may have heard of the boats and can shed some light?
