Thanks to all for your posts and thoughts. Can I just take a moment to expand on this ………..
About 5 years ago Dayle found out, quite by accident, that she had ovarian cancer. There aren't any obvious symptoms with this cancer, so by the time it was discovered, it was a bit too late.
She had major surgery to remove the damaged bits, then came the dreaded chemotherapy. Over the last 5 years, she's been through five chemotherapy regimes, all of about four months each, because the cancer was always on the march.
Bottom line is, get your wives, girlfriends or both to get this stuff checked out before it's too late.
Good thing is, she's out of pain, no more nausea etc, etc.
Bad thing is, you might have to put up with me at a few more get/wet togethers.

Would that be so bad.
Although I'm still to attend one with a boat of any kind I can imagine the fun and frivolity!
