Speaking to a mate of mine today, he says that screws are just there to hold and locate the timber in place until the glue goes off. I 100% subscribe to that. The timber will break (or rot) before the epoxy fails.

All timbered up today. Picked up my ply, meranti, and some American oak. Going to need a thicknesser and some other tooling as there will be quite a lot that will need to be ripped down to size.
It's slow going but it's progress.
Thanks for the help today Ross.

Thank you ,as I now have the timber and have no excuse not to change the plank on the skiff.

Off and running today. It's a slow tentative start. One frame cut out. Will still need finishing fit for stringers and laminating with ply.

Great project Craig, very enjoyable and the result will be well worth it!
Did I hear Mr Carter say: "That's not a clamp"

Another frame nearly done. Will be radiusing the corners for the bearers as all the frames had cracked or broken at this point. Slowly piecing together the broken bits for templates.

Looking good Craig. It's encouraging to see the pieces come together and gives you plenty ofg drive to move forward.
