Wasn't the Terrier a Leyland truck motor? MMM not sure

The Leyland Terrier truck engine was a low comp (piston) version of the the Leyland P76 V8. Both are the same engine of 4.4 liters. When Leyland was going down the gurgler in Australia they had to try and flog off all the pre manufactured V8's that were produced for future sales of the P76 due to the P76 being canned, SO they went into the Terrier trucks.
