Thanks Alan.
Started on the rot repair on the starboard side of the hull at the waterline. Sorted a way to clamp the new section in as my clamps are too short to do the width of the boat. Getting all to enthused at the wrong end of the season.

Trailer bearers done, lights and paint finished. Trailer now done. Getting close with the boat. Thinking I'll make Winton now.

Historic Winton Dave. We're putting boats on show again this year. End of May.

Disappointing day today somewhat. Starting to find the paint I got for the repairs isn't a match. So no more cutting/polishing etc. It'll have to do for Winton. Knocked up some bronze bushes for the jockey wheel and got rid of the needle roller set up. Was no good anyway as it held water inside the bearing cavity and caused it to corroded out. Also chucked the poxy Taiwan mirror and fitted up one from a FE/FC Holden. Looks heaps better. Will be hitting the water tomorrow.

Nice and flat today, hoping for the same tomorrow. Had to rope in as no ramps in the water.
Going to have to attack the paint as a crack has opened up again. Mechanically I don't have an issue but this wood, paint, n varnish stuff is frustrating. As a carpenter I make a good mechanic. I think that maybe the problem.

Looks nice out there Craig.

Wooden boats and paint cracks - fact of life. Try living with a clinker.
