Thanks Ross,

I've got another smaller photo and it looks to have vertical and horizontal ribs around the thrust housing similar to my current red motor one. Here's hoping! I'll find out Saturday when I pick it up. Owner is ex president of the SSBOC and knows of some of the history on my boat too.

A little change this weekend. Finally found the wheel I have been chasing for sometime. Gone from an old SAAS rubberised wheel to this 12" Maxrob with EJ/EH centre cap. A better period look I think.

Finally got around to fitting the original towbar back on my FB. Just some wiring to do and we are ready for Sundays run to Churchill.

Great looking FB. I've just finished varnishing my Maxrob wheel, the same as yours. Bought mine in '66 if I remember correctly.

Thanks Greg, Dave, Bob & Thommo.

Bob, I hope your wheel was a dam site cheaper in 66 than I paid for mine this year. Man they fetch a price when they turn up which is not very often!

Thommo I've sent a PM regarding the Renmark Nationals.

Anyone got an idea on this little strange anomaly I have with my wet exhaust. When I get up to speed I get water blowing back up the manifolds and leaking out between the manifold gaskets with the soot residue as well. All new exhaust from the engine pipe through to the transom. Checked it will running flat out and the pipe is well out of the water with just the cooling spray amount coming out. I've even restricted the amount of water going to the exhaust manifold but it makes no difference. I'm thinking water is flooding at the bottom of the engine pipes and maybe I have an amount of reversion between both header manifolds which is drawing water back at the ports. That and some back pressure from flooding in the exhaust is causing the water to blow out between the gaskets at high speed. I now this isn't new to this boat now as the old head was eroded away in the exhaust ports from corrosion. Is this a common thing with the Seacrafts and the water injection into the exhaust manifold at the ports.
