Just got back from getting the injection pump tested (all OK) and the barrel valve set. He gave me a handful of richer pills to try. Hopefully It will run OK tommorrow.

Hey Dave - is the pump that tested okay the one used in the boat at Narrandera or a different one?

Bob it was the one in the boat at Nerranderra. The guy put it on his test bench, ran it up through all the rev ranges and then handed it back to me saying "its not your pump".

I put it all back together and took the boat over. He pulled the whole barrel valve apart, put some new O rings and seals in.
Set the valve up with a leak down tester and said "go and try that".

The whole while Bronte was jumping around the boat and asking the guy "what are you doing" He would explain it all and then would come "why". Then it would start all over again. He was pretty patient. I cant believe he could concentrate. She had a ball in his workshop. All the dials and gauges to play with.

I used to pit crew for him at the speedway (sprint cars) back when I was about 18.

Great news Dave - half the battle with fuel injection is knowing who to listen to. Sounds like you have it well sorted som it will be good to see the boat at Yarrawonga.
