Aussie Belle Isle

Postby Aussie » 21 Nov 2013, 10:35

Hi, my name is Jamie from Mackay in Queensland and I am building a 23 ft triple cockpit barrel back by Ken Hankinsen...
I know it is an american design but it is being built here so I will class it as Aussie...
I have completed the hull and flipped about 3 weeks ago..I have painted bottom ( pearl white) and sides ( metallic brown/ bronze) with timber on transom...timber is Aqua from the Solomon islands and this will also be used on the top deck along with Serian cedar...
I have a 454 big block chev with a 1:1 72 C transmission...
I am hoping to be finished by mid next year......
Once finished I will be keen to travel to different locations to ski and cruise with other timber classics....
Will post some pics once I resize some ....
Jamie

Ahoy Jamie!

Better get organised for the wooden boat festival at Hobart in Tasmania February 2015 then mate!

Also I assume Glen from Townsville will want to talk to you if he hasn't already, he is currently restoring a Chris craft triple.

Cheers from sunny Tasmania (NOT! Sunny that is)

I bung 'em on photobucket and use the edit facility to reduce to 680 by 400 and something. Then use the IMG url for posting the pic.

Or you can use Microsoft photo manager if you want to resize before you upload...
