Yeah bob prior to being spray booth it was the woodworking area and the sanding area. After it will be the fit out bay.
Im not spraying the varnish on I'm brushing it just like the old days.
I want the boat to look like it did when new.

Here's a few more pics of RB 2 after Dave wheeled her out into the sunlight. I think Dave's up to about coat # 7. The first pic is my favourite.

Im not managing very well. I totally over being constantly in pain. If its not one thing its something else.
This recent accident is the icing on the cake. I know there are lots of people out there heaps worse off than me. Its just I know I wont be able to do this type of thing for much longer.
I have no idea what I will do to keep me going after that.

Paul I would rather shovel dog poo all day than go back to teaching high school kids.
I did do 12 months teaching spray painting at tafe.
That was ok but the liberal govt has systematically dismantled the tafe system.
There is currently an oversupply of teachers and no schools.
The reality is even teaching at tafe really knocked me around.
Ill get through this.

Well, Team RB2 have finally been able to get together again after our respective issues and make progress on the skiff.

First job was to make the framework for the seat, so to see if our bums would fit in it, we had to do a test drive. Dave was the one making the brooommm brooommm noises. Still looks like looking along the deck of an aircraft carrier.

Next we strung her up from the rafters of the shed so Dave could give the hull one last coat of paint. Dave reckons this is how it will look at full noise, hull right out of the water.

The engine build has come to a bit of a halt. The camshaft I ordered from Summit about a month ago hasn't turned up. Seems it's been "lost" somewhere in Fedex's Memphis depot. Fedex says go back to Summit, Summit says go back to Ebay, Ebay says claim in on Paypal. Still waiting on a resolution or, more importantly, a camshaft.
Hence, RB2 will not be making an appearance at Narrandera, unless we can bolt one of Dave's old Mercs onto the transom.
