THEFT

Postby Nick » 04 Aug 2009, 21:39

Dave Pagano has had his place broken into
2 major items were stolen along with other items
1 was a motor that belonged to Greg Carr
The other was a Hydroplane kids ride
The motor was under a tarp and trapped in place by other motors that had to be moved to get to Greg's
The kids ride was at the very back of the shed and had to be picked up and carried out
If either are stumbled upon Greg or Dave would appreiciate a phone call or email

Gregs Engine was a 327 small block rear mount set up complete with all brackets and over transom extractors. The ends of the exhausts had large chrome mufflers with the chrome peeling off. The engine also had a Holley, an electronic distributor and large alloy I think Holley rocker covers. The buggers knew what they wanted and only took boat related items.
Nobody will ever been shown my collection again.
Right now I feel like getting rid of everything. To think whoever ripped me off is someone I know. This stuff was buried. They had to know it was there. You can also contact Windsor Police 0245606999 Senior Constable Taylder

I am sorry to hear that Dave. I hope that it's not someone that reads this bulletin board as we all might end up victims. Chris

Yes, sorry to hear that....Dave and Greg..... a lousy thing to happen.
And I was thinking Dave...when you mentioned the freind who had the old T Model car and old boat Invader in the boat show, that he very rarely shows his collection...and I wondered why wouldnt you, as you would be so proud to show it.......but now I know why. Call me naive and having trust, especially with like minded people, but very weary now.
This is where we all need to keep our eyes and ears open to help each other out regarding this sort of thing.
cheers

Thanks Peter. I would show anyone interested my collection. That day has passed. Im not even sure if I want to show anything off in public. These people know me. Its not a random theft. Im patient they will stuff up. God help them when that happens.

Phew! When I saw this at the top of the forum, I thought the pricks must've been back again.
That little hydro in particular can't hide away for ever...

Sorry for your loss, will keep an eye on Ebay. Loss of trust is the worst thing.
