Finally got the Simpkin in the water today first time in 18 years .It ran well with no problems ,it has a bit of v drive whine .The day was great but the water was bloody cold.

Fantastic Job as always, what a cracker of a boat, and plastic bottom with timber deck = low maintenace

I have come a full circle ,I have posted an old photo of my first Seacraft .I brought it with no engine as the owner had fitted a V8 but removed it to put it into a new hull. It is mostly finished but as all boat restores know one more clear coat should do it.
