Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
Good to see someone's doing something and posting it. I'm guilty, i've been playing with Ronda's engine with the hope of having it back together before Carol and I head up to Cape York, not going to happen i'm afraid! We'll be gone for 8 weeks
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
Nice work Bob, much safer with a paint brush
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
Good stuff Bob. I've managed to have a crack today as well.
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
There's nothing like a deadline to get motivated. After missing out last year due to the floods, I've booked for the nationals in Nov 2023 and am aiming to get the Chris Craft finished & on the water. So much to be done, but I do have 5 months so fingers & toes crossed.
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
That's the way Bob. Just don't go chopping anymore bits on your hand with the saw! Yell out if you need hand; pardon the pun there lol.
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
Thanks Craig. Just as soon as I get the interior timbers varnished & back in the boat I'll be calling on you to oversee the engine tear down. And when you need a hand yell out, too.
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
That is wonderful news we may have an another item of class and dignity at Narrandera in 2023.
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
Great news Bob. Pressure's on now.
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
Haha, I'm feeling the pressure already!
Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft
Back onto Nirvana with some good progress. The interior timber work has been varnished, buffed & fitted. Old upholstery temporarily installed for reference pics - now to cut new back rest boards. Engine is out of storage and on the engine stand ready for strip down & assessment.
