Winter projects
Re: Winter projects
Nice work Ken. That's a great looking hull. Did you have to do much to it? What speeds are you looking at with the engine set up?
Re: Winter projects
That is looking fantastic.
No chance you are getting bored at home.

Re: Winter projects
Sunday the wetting out started on the small skiff . This does take a bit on this boat and next year l think a motor out and tightening of the Rove's will take place as it has never had a going over before.
Today l intend to install a spray line in the big skiff and start the same process .
Will try and hit the water soon.

Re: Winter projects
This Saturday lm off to the races at glenmaggie.
On water duties, have to see if Screwit and lnvader will float this week . Screwit hasn't seen water for 2 years .
I will be changing wheel bearings before the trip to Nsw.

Re: Winter projects
Well the impeller is shagged in Screwit's pump so hopefully one will get here in time for fittment Friday.
Re: Winter projects
Seat done. I can now fit in the boat! Fuel mixture issues sorted. Engine now running nice and just needing some fine tuning under load.
Fingers crossed we hit the water tomorrow for a tuning session.

Re: Winter projects
Well good and bad today. Good - Engine ok but still getting some moisture in the crankcase from condensation as it's running way too cold. Bad - think I will call it "submarine. 1900Lph bilge pump couldn't keep up with the flood and most of the paint on the keel is now gone. Still had a shitload of fun while it was still afloat. Thanks Ross for the quick launch and retrieve help between runs.
Re: Winter projects
Busy week. Engine out, tightening of keel roves and replacement of some, and a few other engine mods. Hopefully we may have some floatation.
Engine back in this arvo.
