Usually 1" space back of prop to skeg. Fist width between back of rudder to front of prop. Highest point of prop to hull ,no less than 1 1/2". Just make sure you have enough space for a prop puller! Is the prop shaft the same taper to the prop, there are two. This could be stopping the pro...

How about a motorbike muffler shield on each pipe [low side ] between deck and pipe. This will direct cold air to lower section. Maybe something small [ monkey bike ].

Original Motors : 272 heads have large welsh plugs located at each end. 292 heads have no welsh plugs. 312 motors most have 4 barrel manifolds. Casting numbers are the next step. Y- Blocks were used in f-100 f-500 trucks as well . There are alot of motors around with incorrect heads and manifolds.

All Y-Block Fords 272 292 312 are flywheel end distributor. 3x rocker bolts ??? are chrome star fender badges. 2x rocker bolts which have large Sq. head nuts. Drive end is quite clear with water hoses from manifolds to " water pump cover " FRONT OF MOTOR " Most Fords are Front Dist. d...

Drive is off harmonic end of motor , y-block distributor end , flywheel.
Transom , 2x upper clinker planks left & right of cav. could be cover up of earlier exhaust holes of damage timber.
