Thanks fot the info - I will go with the helical gear option Re Camper - I haven't weighed mine as yet but the bloke I bought it off reckoned 600kg loaded Ive made mine to fit with the tray removed - the chassis rails line up so its a neat fit.I will try and download some photos or might be more app...

I didnt explain the lifter flats very well - the flats are about 3mm wide and ground on the cylindrical surface the full length of the follower - supposedly to improve cam lobe wear. the cam lobes look perfect. Should I be able to compress the inner part of the lifter? Maybe they have been converted...

Nathan Im happy your back home with the Corolla bits - I just found a pipe that connects the oil pump input to the outside of the block via the mechanical fuel pump hole - the F3 set up with scavange off the timing case used this arrangement.
