Re: Lake Macquarie / Glenbawn Dam

The Christmas vacation period is usually an entertaining time at the dam, at least one boat has sunk/year for the last couple of years, ski/speed boats cutting straight through areas with submerged trees and stumps, the ramp turns into an absolute dogs breakfast with people unpacking on the ramp wit...

Re: Lake Macquarie / Glenbawn Dam

Ramp is good for cars. I have an old twin cab rodeo and have never had to use 4WD, but if you are not sure with the car we can use the rodeo. Except old mate in a 6 week old XR6 falcon last year who totally submerged by not putting the trailer in far enough and wound his bayliner on with the electri...

Re: nsw get together bonnels bay jan 12

Pete, nice, good to hear you are coming up to Glenbawn with the family ;) ;) ;) ;) and then Bonnels Bay the week after! My family/wife kids all ski/tube/wakeboard etc. Seriously though, if you are keen to come up to Glenbawn with or without the Termite, then we are there nearly every weekend through...

Re: Lake Macquarie / Glenbawn Dam

Chris, Viteau is welcome to stay in the garage for a week! My props are 1" and SAE taper not Morse, hope they fit, I have one that has never been tried and looks interesting, don't know which taper it is either. I found the perfect prop for Echo Too and have not played since.

Re: nsw get together bonnels bay jan 12

Welcome Pete, it will be good to see you there. Went and had a look at the Raymond Terrace site last year and was at Morpeth three weeks ago (couldn't help checking out the boat ramp)!

Ever been to Glenbawn Dam (blatant bait and switch ;) )!

Re: nsw get together bonnels bay jan 12

Good stuff, was just about to give Darren a call! We should be good to go. Any way of getting rid of the salty carp out of Lake Macquarie?

Re: Nerandera 2013

Thanks to everyone for a great weekend, my wife Cheryl is already discussing going next year! We had a great time meeting fantastic people, driving/riding in a range of boats and having a bit of a look around the Riverina. The drive home was much easier in daylight, without having to dodge the roo's...

Re: Nerandera 2013

Took boat out Saturday for it's first run of the season after a bit of a valve rebuild over winter as #5 and #8 had 50psi compression (engine reinstalled Friday night) and had a couple of carby issues from sitting. Sorted these out and finally fitted a PCV valve. Just sorted why my left temperature ...
