nothing more to do really Dave. if I could have found one of these surrounds in the first place I wouldn't have had to rework it. the original dash had a 2"drop in the centre which I kept whacking my knee on. so in cutting it up higher with a curved bottom it meant I had to re jig the cluster. ...

If this company is a small manufacturer of niche low volume items, I don't think the cost is unreasonable at all. the frames would emerge as rough castings that would then need hours of grinding, sanding, polishing and then plating all done by hand.
