Re: 2021 EC Griffith Cup Boat display

Well it's another event done and dusted. Thanks to one and all who attended and or organised, and thanks to John Sullivan for being the hostess with the mostest! :D It was great to hear a Merlin again. Something I haven't had the privilege of for sometime. Here's my pics from the weekend. IMGP9785.J...

Re: Thunda Babe

It was an unknown block. I was told it was a runner. I picked it up at a farm clearing sale with two other engines and five gearboxes for $150. Now I know!

Re: Thunda Babe

Looks like I'm going to have to go 40 thou over if I use this block. The broken ring has done a bit of damage to the bore.

Yes Bob, the more you look and the more you find. Every frame that came out was broken. The only thing that stopped the engine from going through was the keel and the plysheets. All the ply sheet screws were rotten also so it says a lot for the glue.

Re: 1962 Seacraft

Finally I'm back into the Seacraft. I can't believe its been 9 months since I've touched it. Bloody skiffs are a major distraction 8-) This week I've managed to pull out the last of the frames that I want to at this stage. I'm leaving the rear two in so I can maintain the shape of the hull. They won...
