There were a lot of Everinghams sent to SA. Ive seen Bert working on Launches before (not building one from scratch. His Father (Old Bert) was building boats to work the Hawkesbury way back when. I called in to Graham Howards yesterday. He is building a new Hydro, 30ft Trawler for his son and a 21ft...

Hi Prophead. Sorry to tell you this but there is no easy way to do what you want to do. I havent tried soda blasting. They say they can strip wood but dont know anyone who has done it. Just do a bit at a time. Sooner or later you will get there. Dave

Well done Paul. I called in to Bert Everinghams today on the way home from the races. I know its not a speedboat but he is well into building a new 20ft clinker launch. Its an absolute work of art. He is well into his 70's now. I cant imagine he will be building may more boats. I met his cousin Bria...

Just to let everyone know there is a trophy for best clinker speedboat. I said I was going but didnt realise one of my friends is getting married on the same day. She is real good friend so I dont want to get out of it. Who has a wedding on Sunday arvo?

I pulled out a whole pile of my old boat videos. I watched all my boats running. I cant believe its been well over ten years, Greg even had hair (well more than now) back then Man time flies.

The price I got quoted is $275 but that is a rough casting. They will still need to be finished off and chromed. The material is manganese Bronze.
