Re: Hamilton Wet Together

Brian

If we go on a Friday, it's a user pay sort of thing - there is around a $25 fee.

If we hire the venue for a day, it will cost again, but unless we get a reasonable number going, it may prove too expensive.

At the moment, the latter is looking ordinary due to the poor response so far.

Re: Narrandera 2010 ?

G'day Neil Dates were in the last newsletter. October 30th and 31st for this year. It will be great to see you there. For Melbournians and many Victorians, this year it is on the weekend before the Melbourne Cup, which is Tuesday 2nd. This presents an opportunity for an extended weekend at Narrander...

Re: Bottral

Great looking boat and I reckon it would look better in the "flesh".

Looks more like a Mouldcraft than a Botterill to me, though. They mostly built outboards, but did do inboards as well.

Re: Hamilton Wet Together

It seems the combination of dates and times plus distance is a problem for the SA contingent for this one.

Seeing then as it will only be a Vic based outing, do we still want a (winter) weekend at Hamilton or spend a day at the Water Sports Centre?

Hamilton Wet Together

We are currently looking into organising a wet together at Hamilton (http://maps.google.com.au/maps?q=hamilton%2C%20vic&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-GB:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&hl=en&tab=wl) in Victoria within the next few weeks. The venue is conven...

Re: Timber machining

Not a boat of mine, Brian, but an early Everingham (I believe). I will put a few pics in the next newsletter.

It seems that Pompie's will do a plank if you provide them with a decent pattern (obviously ) .

Re: I suppose,

Pete Great news and congratulations. Re the RTA pass, I have towed two boats on unregistered trailers from Sydney to Melbourne over the years and did it both times on a Victorian issued permit. I was pulled up by the NSW police in Albury (nearly made it to Vic!) beacuse I was late coming through the...
