Re: Clinker cracked plank repair
Cam How did you go with your repair? I had a similar problem with a huge crack along one plank. I opened it out by running a hacksaw blade down the crack and then filled it with epoxy thickened with microballoons. It has been fine for over 12 months now. Are you coming to Paynesville again this year...

Re: Help Im getting Drowned
I noticed yesterday that Brian Bauch's boat has similar timber strips running along the the chine line, as on Stu's boat. They actually look like the same hull design (Boesch?).

Nice to see a bit of timber amongst all that steel. Well done to you all for putting the boats in.

Re: I'm here
Peter and his family dropped by at the Melbourne Wooden Boat Festival and we had a great chat about all things to do with wood and water, BMW's motor cars and a few other topics for good measure. Pete is a great bloke and a fantastic resource and is only too happy to help anyone after some informati...

Re: Mystress - back up and running!
Neil Great to see the Mystress back on the water. I reckon you could safely do a name change now to Lesstress. I remember the performance was "special" with the rotary, I reckon now it will very special and as you say, with the right noise to match. These engine implants are a credit to yo...

Gippsland Wet Together
We had such a great weekend last year we've decided to do it again this year on April 10th and 11th. The venue is Dawsons Cove at the eastern end of Newlands Arm at Paynesville. For details of the venue and location, refer last year's posts at: http://cawpba.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=12&t=7. I'...

Re: melbourne cruise??
Due to the unpredicatble winds that are forecast, we have effectively cancelled the cruise.
My apologies for any inconvenience, but with strong winds predicted pretty much when we were due back, it's just not worth the risk.

Re: Melbourne Wooden Boat Festival
We're all in at the festival. Unfortunately, spread out a bit, but 11 boats in all, including a couple of Chris-Craft on the water. Total of 120 boats of all shapes and sizes, so plenty to look at and a good turnout for the first festival. We are in a tent with other associations, so look out for us...
