Next worry, which required lots of discussion about method and execution to get a hole through the keel for the prop shaft. As a result we drilled a pilot hole first just in case it tracked off and ended up comming out the side instead of the back.

Its 18/4/08 after a lot of worry what colour to paint interior I ended up with Safron. The engine beds black and the flooring is King Billy Pine.

Blue gum engine beds which have been squared up, shaped, cut and fitted ready to be secured to the hull. Photo also shows that I spent a bit of extra time cleaning up the hull planks where the engine will eventually be fitted, sealed them with a clear finish.

Hey Ray, thanks for the couple of replies in the story so far! I agree with Alan, you don't want to put a iffy motor in, so you are going to pull it apart etc etc! I haven't got to it yet but the marinised Chev for Tomboy was fully rebuilt, he was asking 4,500 but got him down to $3000. Still not a ...

Starting to look good, hull now painted white and bottom black. Next worry is cutting the holes into my beautiful transom for the exhausts.

Celery top pine stern/transom taking shape. King Billy pine trim around the perimeter and Celery in the center of transom.

You might of noticed with all the clamps, we also used the roof! Last time, you can never have too many clamps, there is about 33 or more, luckily Bruce has over 50 to add to my 4 (two belonging to my dad)
