Re: The Boss

Darren
I thought this was a timber hull. I have another pic of the inside of the hull and it while it looks like a timber hull, it is not good enough top be conclusive. The planks seen to extend past the transom.
I agree about the date being more 70's. Definitely not early 50's.

The Boss

I see "The Boss" is for sale again and it looks like the motor comes with the boat this time. Not real sure about the built in 1950 claim. http://i.ebayimg.com/18/!BROo)7QBWk~$(KGrHgoOKjYEjlLmZ5C3BJ9!01,08g~~_12.JPG http://cgi.ebay.com.au/the-boss-race-boat_W0QQitemZ320364581473QQcmdZViewI...

Re: insurance

Brian

Give Alan Marsden a call on 03 9783 3200 or 0412 242 931. He is with Fergusons Financial Services and he has looked after a few of us now. Tell him you are a member of CAWPBA. All the same, give RACV a try. They have been good in the past.

Great to hear the boat is nearly complete.

Re: 318 Engine Bits

G'day Nick Looks like the experts are away, so I'll put in my two penneth. Were the headers on the boat/engine originally? If so, they probably haven't done any harm, otherwise they would have been removed. If the pipes drop away (down) from the head, there is probably not a lot of chance of water e...

Everingham update

Here a couple of pics of one of Paul Siddall's latest projects, his 17' Everingham.

After having the boat ready to fit out for about 12 months, Paul has started to get into it a bit and is hoping to have it finnished for the Nats in October.

Re: The good old days

Agree Dave

It's good to look back over the old stuff, even if is not really all that old. I can nearly even remember the days I had that hair you refer to :(
I have just posted a video of our recent Paynesville weekend. There is a link from the BB and it's also on the site.

Re: Gippsland Wet Together

I have uploaded a few highlights from the weekend on to You Tube.

Note that if it says the video is no longer available, click the "HQ" button (if anyone knows why it does that and how I can fix it, I'd like to know).
