I have had an invite to display "The Spook" on the foreshore of Newcastle Harbour tomorrow as part of the Newcastle Maritime Festival. I think that it will be a good day.

I run a holden 308 with a high volume oil pump and a spin on type filter and when its cold it will run up around 80 lb pressure.

Have you changed the grade of oil, That can affect the oil pressure. As well as that oil will run at higher pressures when its cold. Take it for a run and see if the oil pressure drops back when the engine is hot.

Is the club displaying on all three days? If so what time Friday do we have to front up? If not what time Saturday do we front up? Where are we displaying? What arrangements have been made for entry?

The new hydro is now painted and back on its trailer. It can now be transported around so if we are on for a display at Yarra I could bring it down.

The next step is to work on the engine, it needs a strip down, rings, bearings, new timing chain, valve springs and maybe valves.
