John Mathews used a 2 Pack Clear on all the Lewis Hulls he Sold (best Mate was the spay painter ). As Ronda was purchased via his Business that may account for the hardness of the Clear-coat.

Moving a Prop position has some effect but my belief has always been that the Rake on the blades controls the angle of Hull attack.

25 mm shaft diam set gap about 30 mm provided you have enough prop tip to Hull clearance.
