Hi Garry, there is another option if you want, I used a V6 Commodore starter in a plastic boat with a 355, only had to remove a little amount from the bell housing and have a careful repositioning of one of the bolt holes. I'll admit I have lost track but I'm sure it's coming up to 14 years service ...
