Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft

Fantastic Bob! When I first saw Nirvana I thought why aren’t you fixing that up? Now I get it, being retired having the time, patience and your eye for detail and getting it right is the way to go! I take my (captains) hat off to you mate, superb restoration job/story …so far!
Thanks and cheers mate

Re: A Tasmanian experience

Ahoy all!! On a balmy August day I took Tomboy for its first tow on the new trailer. A lot less mucking around launching and retrieving now but I did get my feet wet checking things out and bloody hell the water was freezing! Just ask the motorists who were invading my space! Cheers

Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft

I am thinking of getting it out of the shed to commence construction of various Christmas Gifts from clever/skilled Santa Carter!! Very impressed Bob and re the constant throw away comments of Nirvana being underpowered I was surprised how Glen’s Triple went with the Hercules 6!

Thanks boyz it’s sort of nice when your old boat out lives it’s trailer!!
On another subject Daz it would be equally good in a circle or a square!? That comment made me laugh re Glenmaggie everyone forming a circle to fend off the natives!
Cheers

Re: A Tasmanian experience

Ahoy all!! Must be the season for new or trailer work? With a little $$ from the sale of Quickly Too I have invested in a new trailer for Tomboy, a few more adjustments and will be ready to give her a run, cheers

Re: Thunda Babe

The differing lengths came up in a conversation I had a while ago as Torea has longer planks on the Port side (left) the brains trust believe it was done to help with keeping speed turning? Just sharing that idea for info, or it could be a Monday or a Friday boat if you know what I mean !!

Old school Hydroplane

Quickly Too is a 16 ft 6 inch x 7 ft 4 inch DeSilva design hydroplane that is being sold as "turn key" ready to go! It has a strong Rover 3.5 V 8, custom travel cover and solid in very good condition dual wheel trailer. I am after offers around $13,000. If you are serious about this boat p...

1960's winged Lewis runabout

Fully restored 1960's winged Lewis with a new Peterson dry sump set up on a 4 bolt main 350 Chev with new dog clutch. The boat is based at Hobart, Tasmania and I will consider offers over $20,000. If you are truly serious about this boat I encourage you to look at "Readers Boats" on this c...
