Looks like I'm going to have to go 40 thou over if I use this block. The broken ring has done a bit of damage to the bore.

Final patterns done and the new inlets rockers fit. One major hurdle done.

Yes Bob, the more you look and the more you find. Every frame that came out was broken. The only thing that stopped the engine from going through was the keel and the plysheets. All the ply sheet screws were rotten also so it says a lot for the glue.

Finally I'm back into the Seacraft. I can't believe its been 9 months since I've touched it. Bloody skiffs are a major distraction 8-) This week I've managed to pull out the last of the frames that I want to at this stage. I'm leaving the rear two in so I can maintain the shape of the hull. They won...

A little more progress on the rockers. The exhaust rockers are all but done with respect to final pattern adjustments. The inlet rockers are a real challenge as there is simply no room to add the extra bulk required if we go with aluminium as a material. The inlet rocker original geometry is a mess ...
