Going well there Bob. Better inside the shed today than outside. Sometimes wonder if I'd be better off with a sail boat.........................ah no.

Re: 1962 Seacraft

Not much today. Ripped down a new keel board and fitted it temp so I can adjust frames, scarf joining angles, and set heights. Pretty happy I haven't lost or gained length with flex in the hull. Old to new spot on fit lengthwise.

Re: 1962 Seacraft

Still not happy with that frame. Did an in place template with some ply and fitted up all the old pieces to that. No wonder the ski pole moved so much (attached to the engine). The frame had been belted and worn away that much that there was around 1/2 or more gap at the breaks. Consequently my firs...

Re: 1962 Seacraft

Todays lesson. Mini belt sanders are brutal, let alone any other sander. One must not lean on it like a 9" angle grinder. Twigged on my issue with one frame not being quite right. I mounted it in backwards................................nothing to see here, move along. Checked in the new vertic...

Re: 1962 Seacraft

A couple more done. Will have to strap the hull up and pull in the sides as I think I've lost some shape. All frames were cut fairly fat but I still have gaps at the ends. I may have to do one frame again as it didn't come up right after piecing three broken bits together. received_1175434192904558....

Re: 1962 Seacraft

Another frame nearly done. Will be radiusing the corners for the bearers as all the frames had cracked or broken at this point. Slowly piecing together the broken bits for templates.
