Home safe ,rained all the way and constantly dodging holes in the road , we had a great time as usual Narrrandera gave us a bit of sun rain .thunder and hail what more could you want. The boat ran well and thanks to those who helped getting the boat on and off the trailer .I hope we can all catch up...

Is this the normal way of doing ribs ,i had the impression the planks were fitted the the ribs were fitted later.I have notised small nails in the ribs which i thought held them in place until they were nailed and roved .

Probably got a bit ahead of myself thinking about the name as the project has grown ,what was going to be a deck replacement and an engine rebuild has grown to engine bearer cut out and replace .I have already rebuilt the engine and had the seats recovered so a little bit to do when i get back home ...

I have a new project boat ,a Keith Simpkins rear mount 351 with a glass hull and timber top .I have come up wit the name GLASSARSE but Karen thinks it's a bit to rude . What do you think.

Craig i went through this with Zarak .If you are going to do a full plank be careful removing it as i used them as a template for the new ones . I think the nails get bent and put pressure on the plank when they are hammered to try and tighten them they can't compress so they bend putting pressure o...

The lockdown must have got to me as l have managed to turn a useable boat in to a heap of hard work but it has certainly stoped the boredom .

I had a y block once with a sump pump that was mounted to the direst drive housing ,I got caught once thinking the tank was low so added a couple of liters only to take it out for a hoon next time i put it in the water and discovered oil every where .
