Re: tightening roves

Was hoping to do a bit before Narrandera, no time for an engine out right now. I'm trying to nurse Ronda along until i retire in a year or so, then i will do a far more comprehensive overhaul without having to rush things. I get your point but that doesn't kinda fit at the moment

tightening roves

Quick question, is there any real science in tightening roves? I would like to have a crack at tightening Ronda's hull a bit, she's a bit TOO loose....I can't keep water in it long enough to swell the timber. Most of the leaking is from the second plank join out from the keel if that make's sense an...

Leaving Broken Hill and heading down through Menindee to Pooncaire it's heartbreaking to see how dry eveyrthing is. My hea...

Re: Drysdale vintage machinery rally

I'd be up for taking the Guardsvan but I would be on my own. No way the cheese and kisses would wear it. Andy, next thing to do is rear telescopic shocks should be a kit available soon

Also spoke with the chap who runs Geelong motor museum and he is interested in putting some of our boats on display similar to what we did in Shepperton

Drysdale vintage machinery rally

Spent the day at the Bellarine vintage machinery rally today, towed Pagan with the Vanguard and took Ronda as well. Couldn't have been happier with the day. Run into a relative of one of Pagans past owners and learnt a little bit more of her history. will post some pics when i can

Winter projects

I have noticed the BB has been quiet for a while so i'll put my two cents worth in. Spent a good couple of hours replacing the screws that hold Ronda's comings on. Some had broken so a sister screw was put in next to the exsisting one. This has tightened the comings up heaps. Hoping to get some rust...
