DEBBIE TOO

Wondering if anyone knows what happened to "Plugger Grahams" Everingham Skiff , DEBBIE TOO ? This Hull was as fast around Albert Park Circuit as any other boat in it,s day, ( the owner of Mandy always believed it had 351 ci engine. He was wrong ) Power came from a 289 Cobra and could run a...

Re: Pagan

Ray, 7 pound pressure is way to high for Carbs designed to run at atmospheric pressure only. It will always push past the needle assembly. All other ideas are good , you need to be sure of the feeds from one end to the other.everything must be clear. Is there any corrosion in the carb Jets or passag...

Re: Pagan

Many of the engines that used either Bike Carbs or in some cases SU,s had them modified to function more as a low pressure Injector than a Carby. Work great if you know what you have and treat it accordingly. That,s why history sometimes makes things easier to understand.

Re: Pagan

Ray, the process for starting I had Greg forward to you assumed that you always used an Electric Pump delivering a continual volume at around 2 1/2 pounds of pressure once you were running. You don,t need to flood the engine before starting so that was why the pump was turned off once primed until e...

Re: Slant 6 manifold

Why vertical ?? they ran on normal slant in boats of the day and performed well. If they must be vertical , buy plenty of Tube and become a good Welder , only way to do it. I have never seen anything advertised even in USA. Come to think of it never seen in any Hot rod or Race car pics either. Wildw...

Re: Gillflight is back on the market

Could this boat have been built as a design plug for a Glass version ? no need for ribs etc if not meant to be used as wooden unit. The engine is placed further back than the "Vulture" style as it had room for passenger seat behind the engine so as to meet "Service Runabout Class"...

Re: Gillflight is back on the market

While there may have been "Sister Hulls" only one ever had the talent to be a top competitor across the Country and that one is still missing ?
The rest were "good average racers" when run against the best in Australia at that period in time.

Re: Gillflight is back on the market

PSYCHO pictured is a small Stephens hull was previously called LOBO . All glass with 350 chev . This was before Alan Beale bought the Business. An observant person may think there was a strong liking between Stephens and Everingham. "Glass can do that". As for the number of boats built by ...
