Re: Raw water strainer?

I was wondering whether a precious Victorian might bite, lo and behold it’s the “El Presidenta “!! On a serious note having a heat exchanger dragging raw water into the fine tubes to cool the contained water within the engine having a water filter is a good safety measure to ensure no blockages.

Re: Raw water strainer?

I think Captain Bob Carter is on the money re quality of water! I have one in Tomboy and after 15 years of use there has been no debris in the strainer and it’s plastic but a quality item. If you get weedy slime like Victoria with their algae blooms then definitely!

Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft

I’m sorry if I broke “the cone of silence “ mate, but as you know I like a bit of humour at someone’s expense and for those that are following this post to enjoy! So perhaps I should add my solution to the generator issue by adding some solar panels to the deck? No Ray no “ash trays on motor bike” c...

Re: 1960's winged Lewis runabout

Dragged Torea out of shed today gave her a wash and a run on the hose as I’m going to add the video of her running on the clubs Facebook page as being for sale. This also shows the engineered extended draw for easy launch and retrieval that may not of been posted before?

Re: Nirvana 1941 Chris Craft

Ahoy fellow Nirvana/Bob Carter lovers! In particular those that may not be on Facebook or who are but don’t read the text just look at the pictures!? Anyway I made a comment about appropriate head attire on a classic launch like Nirvana and doing it justice, it appears able seaman Carter has taken t...

Re: A Tasmanian experience

Good pick up El Presidenta! Ahoy Craig it’s my go to spot about 15 mins by car from place but the launch ramp is a bit marginal particularly good weather on a weekend! So I launch another 30 mins away at Lindisfarne if you know Hobart basically eastern side of the Tasman Bridge, then cruise down the...

Re: A Tasmanian experience

So the wooden boat festival occurs every second year, this year being the “miss” but we are having great weather at the moment (with a bit of wind, of course) so a couple of photos of today’s outing, cheers
