Re: Ski Boat Clinker Original Gilflight
I have met Bindy Lewis a few times at few VSBC races. I have bought a few DVDs from her and she has also posted a few pictures of mine on her website. I think the Vulture website is great. She is actively seeking "Vulture". This boat could be a possibility, not sure?? I will probably email...

Re: New Syndicate
Hi All, I haven't posted anything in quite sometime, so my apologies. It was good to get down to Narrandera and check out a few other boats. It was a last minute decision to drive down there as it looked as though I was going to be working. Thanks Ken, for the ride in your great Seacraft, really goo...

Re: THrifty Too Relaunch
Hi Peter, congratulations on the first run in the hydro, different to drive as you say. I suppose it is like most things, it takes a while to get used to something different. I can see Wildfire being very different to my Syndicate, and this will be a learning curve for me as well. Good to hear that ...

Re: New Syndicate
Hi Peter, good to hear that your hydro ran well! And that it is fast and that it handled the chop well. Great to hear, guess you had great fun at Toukley. I now have a steel turn fin for the Syndicate and hope to have it ceramic coated in a week or two. Have a week at work then off to Melbourne agai...

Re: New Syndicate
Hi Peter, hopefully the river has cleaned up and you can get a run in? Dave's tips will be good help. As you say, better to wait to when it is quiet and clear of excess boats. I am waiting on a turn fin being made up by Newby Eng as well and then I will get the skeg and fin HPC coated. Have a long w...

Re: New Syndicate
Hi Peter, have attached the latest picture of the Syndicate, from about a week ago when I was down in Melbourne. Was unable to get the trailer registered for Wildfire with the wait for Vicroads appointments in the little time I spent down there. But it has come up really good. Still have to come up ...

Re: New Syndicate
Hi Peter, still leaning towards an Argo box, when I can get on to H&H, I will price one of their V drives. Cubes are great, but modern technology with boost can give cubes a real hurry up, even better when combined with cubes as well! This normally means more $$ as well! And I am lucky (or unluc...

Re: Hobart newbie
Hi Stuart, welcome, you have some great boats! The stained deck looks pretty good. Lightning 111 is a Gill? Probably Dave Gill in Croydon Victoria (Gilflite ski boats), he built many very successful race boats in the early years. Vulture and Miss Bayswater Bulk/Aussie Connection probably two of the ...

Re: New Syndicate
Hi Brian and Neil, good to hear the guy with the yellow plastic boat went ahead with the turbos, guess it goes pretty hard. Based on hat you guys have said, 5% seems a good way to go. I need two Vdrive boxes, one for Wildfire (my Dad's jag 6 powered race boat, that did a bit over 70mph with 5% gears...

Re: New Syndicate
Here is the plastic boat with a 1UZFE V8 as I spoke about before. I think guy's plan was to fit twin turbos
