What do you use for replacement planks? These are meranti. Is this type still available? I'm kind of looking forward to doing the resto. Although support and guidance will be required, I'm more experienced in the metal fab, diesel and vintage car and truck stuff. So wood is a unforgiving beast to me.

Ok, as I've started stripping this damn fibreglass back I'm starting to notice the wood looking a tad poo on the hull. The keel has some cracks, nothing I see being to major, but I'm new to this. I know off the bat that I will be replacing planks. Is there any wood anyone recommends? I know the hull...

Everingham project

Hi, I'm new to the group and to wooden boats. I picked up a Everingham. It's been played with and the hull has been glassed. Just wondering if anyone knows the boat and the history. Any info would be appreciated and pointers. I want to fully strip and restore closest to original as possible.
