There would be a good chance of the bearings being still available because the inch series of tapered roller bearings were used in many applications - the individual cup and cone numbers are critical tho because for the same bearing architecture the bore and OD can change by up to 1/8" The beve...

Yes Greg - the experience here in NSW appears to be the same- we have a few dedicated to building wooden powerboats- see previous posts. But the general consensus is towards rowing skiffs and small sailboats.

yes I think you are right about the water feed and I thought the same about the single Uni joint - but on a closer look wondered if a second uni might be 'hiding' under the engine mount / adaptor because there seems be the snippet of a spline just visible? I hope so otherwise you vibration comments ...

Well Craig I have looked at the info you posted and cant see the fault unless its the fact the rockers you made have a different ratio which will skew the numbers? or you could enlighten us of the real problem?
