Boat builds

Hi Members I'm new and old to this forum. I may have been part of a classic group on fb. I have a question for those talented folks on here, so here goes. I'm looking for timber types and where to buy them?. Mainly the frame timbers to build smaller projects. I assume pine is unsuitable even if pain...

Re: 48ci Hydros

Thank you for the offer though I think I'll stick to my motorcycle engine size Hydro idea because I haven't seen one before.

48ci Hydros

Hi folks. Looking for the next big thing, for me at least anyway. I've stumbled across the old 48ci hydro class and wondering if someone had some info on them. I guess they were bike motors and budget class. Leads to some plans would be great. Thanks Matt

Strip plank decking is only part there and has ribs about 100mm apart. It has a price on it and the clincher is that the hull has been glassed over an...

Re: B-PEE

Hi Ken. Definitely go over everything on that motor. Timing marks may possibly be out. Maybe the dizzy faulty, maybe lean?? At most of the events before and after the build it never ran well. Matt(former boat person)

Re: Triple Treat

Peter I'll show the fella the photos. I talked with him the other day but I didn't realise you'd put the photos up. He said it was definitely a flathead. Matt

Triple Treat

Hi Guys got talking to a local today and as usual it went from old cars to old boats with my interest really sparked with his recollection of a boat from Eildon. The boat was around 18ft,powered by a flat head. In excellent condition with triple cockpits. Two in the front and one aft. Maybe its been...
