Re: Goolwa April 2013
I bought this boat last November, it was in Wagga Wagga and it was then called Bugger. As I was sanding the paint I found the original name Griffin painted over. It was a South Australian boat going by the HIN plate. It was a pretty much a complete boat with the deck deteriorated from age and a bit ...

Re: Goolwa April 2013
Here is the first look at Griffin, an Everingham clinker which I intend to finish and bring along for the Goolwa gathering. It will be for sale. It is nearly there, deck finished, bottom repainted, inside revarnished, engine is a chrysler 318 which is getting a full rebuild now, and a new galvanized...

Re: Yarrawonga Wet Together 2013
Hi all, Just seeing if it is possible to get a lift from Wandong to Yarrawonga for one adult and one 7 year old on Friday arvo. Wandong is on the Hume Highway just north of Melbourne. Re: Pre Nerrandra get together
It was great to launch Kestrel with the Club present and to meet some fellow wooden boat enthusiasts. It was a thrill to get the boat into the water and fun to drive. Thanks Nick for the posted photos. We are looking forward to more at Nerandera, planning for a trip up the Yarra today, can never hav...

Re: Pre Nerrandra get together
I have been pushing hard to finish my, new build, GlenL Ski King to launch on the 7th of October hopefully with some of the other boats from the association present. I think I will make it with the engine going in this week. I am keen to have a gathering on this day.

Re: Thermostats.....
Thanks for that, I am trying to get the installation as right as possible the first time. I have set up raw water cooled small diesel engines, with out thermostats, and large diesel marine engines with heat exchangers but this installation is a bit different.

Thermostats.....
I am setting up a Ford 302 as a raw water cooled engine and I am not sure if I need to install a marine thermostat housing, one which always sends water to the exhaust and can circulate water in the engine until it heats up then opens and sends it to the exhaust. Is a thermostat just an other thing ...
