Some times the best laid plans of mice and men never come to pass hahha A great Victorian classic now closer for the W.A boys to enjoy - hopefully someone picks her up and finishes what I have not had the time to do - it would not take much. Have had the engine started and she starts first time ever...

Re: plywood thickness for bond wood boat
Hey Bauchy Of the 3 Glen-l plans I have all bottom battens / side battens are notched into the frames - the hartley sportwinn has them nailed /glued the outside of the frame. I like how on the glen - l plans they state to glue 1/4 plywood onto the top of the keel so as to avoid cracking - have a loo...

Re: plywood thickness for bond wood boat
totally right lads 6mm to light - 9mmm still to light its 12mm min or alternatively its 2 x 6mm laminate http://www.glen-l.com/designs/inboard/rampage-bom.html. The glen-l boats are an easy design to get head around - Rampage looks a great boat. How far into the build are you? Most Glen-l boat build...

Re: plywood thickness for bond wood boat
Howdy Bauchy, The hartley sportwinn (1950 speed boat) is ahead of its time - light on frames and light on plywood thickness (design is flat bottomish) and the plans state 6mm thick plywood - the Svensons / Chum design which is this boat by all accounts http://www.cawpba.com/CAWPBA/forsale47.htm uses...

Re: Dodge powered clinker
Cheers James, Have been looking for a fair while - I have posted some of the previous candidates tonight for anyone looking for a project. I have 2 x holden 202 marinised engines one is set up for a speed boat and the other is for a ski boat - slowly been aquiring them as all projects seemed minus a...
