OLD FLAME was built by Sid Long on Tasmania's West Coast in 1972 using King Billy Pine for Mr L Robinson and was raced by his son Darren Robinson as "Transformer" The boat set an APBA Tasmanian Speed Record of 104.31KMH on the 14/3/1987 by Darren and this record still stands today

The 13' skiff has also be called Alfresco and In-M-Ocean Motive force is a 1600 cc Kent (early Cortina/Escort)

The boat was renamed OLD FLAME by Ray West in 1993 who
raced it for two seasons before retiring due to ill health.

OLD FLAME sat idle for the next 20 years with a freshen up happening somewhere in that period |

The boat was purchased by Stuart Beattie in 2012 |

After the deck was stripped back to the natural timber and cleared and some other work was completed, the boat is now regularly back on the water around its home base of Hobart |
