I first remember Miss Michinbury coming on the seen at the 2007 Goolwa Wooden Boat Festival, where it created quite a stir |
Miss Michinbury is a 22' triple cockpit Chris-Craft 100, launched in 1930 in Michigan in the USA. It had been ordered by the Penfold wine family in South Australia, who owned it for some 30 years. |
The mahogany craft was then sold to a family who used it on the Torrens River to commute to their house that was a located on an island on the river |
The boat was then sold in 2005 and then again a few years later. Last known location of the boat was in Sydney, where it was being offered for sale again. |

Miss Michinbury still runs it original 75 HP 6 cylinder Chrysler Marine engine |
